Amar Atwal, M.D.
Dr. Amar Atwal is the Founder and Medical Director of Atwal Eye Care/Buffalo Eye Care Associates and Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center, a New York State and Medicare approved Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Dr. Atwal specializes in Laser Vision Correction including LASIK and PRK. Dr. Atwal began Refractive procedures in 1986 when he performed his first R.K. procedure. In 1996, after the approval of the Excimer Laser in the United States, Dr. Atwal opened an Excimer Laser facility at the 3095 Harlem Road office. He has performed over 15,000 refractive surgery procedures. Dr. Atwal also specializes in "no stitch" incision cataract surgery with premium multi-focal intraocular lenses, glaucoma treatment and surgery, and other laser procedures.
Dr. Atwal received his doctorate from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He served as an intern at Mercy Hospital. He opened his practice in Western New York in 1980.
Carl Todoro, M.D.
Dr. Carl Todoro is a native of Western New York and joined his father’s Ophthalmology practice in 1978 serving the Hamburg and Western New York community. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Pittsburgh and he received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at
E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital and was a clinical facility instructor at ECMC.
Dr. Todoro joined Atwal Eye Care in 1998 as a Medical Ophthalmologist. In 2008 he moved to the newly expanding office located at 3040 Amsdell Road in the Brierwood Medical Center in Hamburg.
Ramesh Shastri, M.D.
Dr. Ramesh Shastri has been in private practice in Western New York since 1972. He graduated from Medical College in Baroda, India. Dr. Shastri completed his internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston and his Ophthalmology residency and post graduate fellowship at E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Shastri opened his private practice in West Seneca in 1975 as a cataract surgeon and general ophthalmologist. He joined Atwal Eye Care in 2002 as a Medical Ophthalmologist. Dr. Shastri currently practices at our 1900 Ridge Road office in West Seneca.
